Katie & Rich – Herrington on the Bay Maryland Wedding Photography

Katie and Rich’s wedding was beautiful and crazy and fun all mixed into one day. I knew I was in for some laughs from the very beginning with this crowd. And sure enough, I was not disappointed. From the hilarious email Katie’s mom sent me, to her dad carrying around and dancing with a GoPro all day, to Rich’s brother borrowing my camera at the reception for a good ten minutes and taking photos… awesome day.

Liana & Zach – Wilmington, DE and Nemours Mansion Engagement Shoot

We started off this hot and humid morning with some photos around the DuPont Environmental Education Center in Wilmington, Delaware. Check out the bridge and those views! I figured out pretty quickly that Liana and Zach have very sweet and positive attitudes, and I’m pretty sure they are both geniuses which they downplay completely. Our next stop was the Nemours Mansion, the 300-acre country estate of Alfred DuPont, and holy moly was this place gorgeous. I could have shot there all day, but we were limited to an hour (although I did nearly get to extend my stay as the woman with the golf cart tried to drive off without me on it.)

Annie & Jeremy – Kent Manor Inn Wedding Photography

I feel like we nailed this one. Annie and Jeremy’s wedding day was not only beautiful, it was emotional too. Annie’s mother flew all the way from China to be at the wedding, and I welled up more than a few times watching her and Annie interact, and then gave up holding back when they danced together. The whole day was flawless, and seriously, these are some pretty pictures! (If I do say so myself.) :)

Paola & James – Odyssey Cruise Washington DC Wedding Photography

I loved this wedding! The intimate setting, the beautiful sunset cruise on the boat, the gorgeous nighttime photos we got… it was perfection. Pao and James are great together, and I loved how they let me pull them out repeatedly for some photos off the back of the boat as the sky got prettier and prettier. The food was some of the best I had all year, and it was such a treat to get to see DC from the water. Special thanks to my awesome second shooter Jennifer Smutek for rocking out some awesome shots at this wedding!

Sarah & Matt – Baltimore Harbor East Engagement Photography

Sarah and Matt wanted a clear sunny morning for their engagement photos, and patience and persistence finally paid off! After a few weather-related rescheduled dates, we picked the most perfect morning for a shoot. I had a total blast walking around Baltimore with these two – they were up for anything so we did a lot of wandering around their neighborhood and I found some neat new spots. They were completely at ease and comfortable in front of the camera, which made me super stoked for their wedding day!

Amanda & Jake – Savage Mill Maryland Engagement Photography

How have I never photographed at Savage Mill before?! This place blew my mind. I’d visited, but seeing it through my lens was a different story. So many neat nooks and crannies!

Heather & Justin – Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Kent Island Wedding Photography

I felt like I clicked with Heather from the first time we met. She is just so incredibly sweet and genuinely likable. I couldn’t wait to meet Justin at the engagement shoot to see who this guy was who had scored such an awesome catch. Turns out he is equally likable, and it was no surprise to me that they would have a wedding with 200+ guests and manage to make them all feel special. The toasts were some of the best I’ve ever heard, and the dance party was one of the most epic I’ve ever photographed. Seriously. They went crowd surfing, guys. This was a day for the record books for sure.

Sara & Dave – Mount Vernon Inn Wedding Photography

Sara and Dave lived three doors down from each other in the dorm their freshman year of college (yep, back in the era of AIM, which does play a part in their how-we-met story.) And even after being together ten years, they still wanted to get married! Which is awesome news, in my opinion, but it’s easy to see why. They clearly enjoy each other’s company and are great friends – definitely a recipe for a happy future together.

Robyn & Sean – Brookside Garden Engagement Photography

I’d love to say it was me who kept Robyn and Sean laughing through their whole entire shoot, but in reality it was all them. They clearly enjoy each other’s company and know how to have fun. Robyn’s level-headedness balances well with Sean’s goofball side. I had such a good time getting to know them better and can’t wait to see what the future brings!

Meredith & Anthony – Georgetown Engagement Photography

This shoot was extra fun because not only was it the fourth of July, it was Meredith’s birthday! We started in the morning in Georgetown, and got about halfway through the session before it started raining on us and then never stopped. Fine by me, because I had Meredith’s mom holding an umbrella over my head (which was awesome) and at this point I am pretty good at finding overhanging awnings and covered areas. We embraced the rain and I loved Meredith and Anthony’s willingness to just go for it and get completely soaked standing in the fountain at the end. These guys could not have been more pleasant or fun to work with, and I’m betting a rainy day engagement session makes for clear skies on their wedding day!
